Waterloo Solar

75 MW Waterloo Solar, in the North West Province, produces adequate power to feed 84 000 homes, each year.

As one of the REIPPPP’s fourth bid window’s solar utility power plants, this project is a landmark in the Vryburg area, with 261,360 solar modules, harnessing the intense North West sun.

It generates enough renewable power each year to electrify approximately
84,000 medium-sized homes, in addition to benefiting the local communities in the Naledi Local Municipal area, through its many economic development programmes. The beneficiary communities include Vryburg, Kismet Park, Huhudi, Colridge and Dithakwaneng.
