Renewable Energy Investments South Africa

75 MW REISA, in the Northern Cape Province, generates renewable power through its 343,200 installed solar modules.

This solar PV project lies between Deben and Kathu, harnessing the year-round power of the area’s intense sunshine. The project spans 210 hectares of agricultural land, connecting to Eskom’s Fox switching station, which is adjacent to the site and generates approximately 172,400 MWh every year. Part of the inaugural round of South Africa’s REIPPP programme, the project began commercial operations in 2014.
