De Wildt Solar

50MW De Wildt Solar, in the North West Province, generates enough energy to power almost 33,000 South African households.

Located near the town of Brits, this solar PV facility is one of nine independent renewable energy projects awarded in Round 4 of the government’s REIPPP programme. The plant uses single-axis tracker solar PV technology to produce 110 000 MWhs of power each year.
