Boikanyo Solar

55MW Boikanyo Solar, in the Northern Cape, produces enough clean energy to power some 62 000 South African homes each year, as part of the REIPPP Programme’s fourth bid window.

Situated in the leading renewable energy province that boasts the highest number of clean power generating facilities in the country, this solar PV project has over 184 000 installed solar modules to harness the intense power of the sun. It generates 152 284 MWh/year and benefits the local communities of the Siyancuma Local Municipality area through its many economic development programs.
